Happy holidays! Has anyone positive ever been able to surgery in the DR? Whether you disclosed or not I would like to know!! I want surgery so bad!

You do not have to disclose as they have to assume anyone could have HIV and act accordingly with precautions for safety.

Having said that, I would suggest it’s better that they know in case of any needs you may have and it is also polite and respectful of the staff. For example if you had an unexpected seizure it’s safer for them to know you are positive.

If you are on medication and undetectable you will not be infectious anyway.

U=U undetecable is untransmittable, you don't have to disclose to anyone your status.

although it could be advantages if you become poorly..
