Not worry so much. There is such great meds out there now that can control it and staying healthy and a great attitude always help. Like my doctor always tell me Jimmy you are not going to die of AIDS! You might more likely get killed by a bus! Great! Lol.
Good luck!
Are you on medication already. I travel a lot and just hoping I will still be able to do this I'm normally away about 6 months at a time
Yes I'm on two truvada and isentress and been on it six years with no side effects or anything.
That's exactly the same thing my doctor said to me.
I would advise you to Never tell anyone about your status unless the law requires you to. Some people are met with open arms but most are not. If, and when you do...u may/will see exactly why I told you to keep it to yourself.
You will probably go on genvoya or triumeq. There are plenty of support groups out there. Not sure where you live, but if you need help, let me know.
I'm in glasgow but travel everywhere with work . Having a nightmare at the minute

Mate thanks gor the messsge. Lot to take it only germ diagnosed about 7 weeks. Appear to be healthy though which I good. Cd count was 435. Just have really down days worrying about medication that's the next thing. Really hoping 1 pill a day with bi side effects.
Be very careful who you disclose your HIV status to! Been living with HIV for 28yrs and I'm living a healthy productive life! You have to be comfortable with the knowledge and educate yourself about your status before you should share it with others!
That's amazing 28 years are you on medication. If so how long have you been on it and do you get any side effects. I know that I will get there eventually it's just Going to take time. I'm little worried about starting I've only been diagnosed around 7 weeks my cd count was 435. Which I was told was good as no real damage to my immune system.
I was diagnosed ten years ago and CD4 count was 3! Ten years later my CD4 count is 900 thanks to amazing meds.
Some very good advice I was given was that you shouldn't feel obliged to tell anyone and tell only people who you think can help YOU.
I have never tried to understand the science behind the drugs but have always made sure things are explained clearly / in lay man's terms if I feel something isn't going right.
Be completely honest with your doc, ask lots of questions, always.. I'm taking Atripla, one pill nightly, almost twenty years poz , undetectable viral load, always be honest , ask lots of questions . Good luck
