Hey Stuart,

That is gret news for both you and your partner. Just think if you stay fully adherant to your treatment in six months you should be uninfectios.

All the best,

Paul

Nice one. Feels good doesn't it.

I would say to Stuart's comment that you are undetectable so you are not infectious now. Good practice though to be careful whatever you viral load levels and especially initially.

I personally find it so much easier to explain Undetectable to people I work with saying even if Im bleeding all over the place in an accident I will not infect you = but wear gloves dealing with any accident for everyone!

Great news. Delighted for you. Adherence is the key.

Hey fella! Great news!

I always have a smile on my face when someone says that are now 'undetectable'.

In the olden days 😂😂 that was not even a conceivable notion. The idea that one day a relatively straightforward drug regime, for most, would not only keep you alive but keep the virus under control - fantasy, pure fantasy! So when someone tells me that I feel slightly less sad for the future.

It is, however, a long road! You are lucky being diagnosed in this day and age. There are many options available. My advice as one of the oldies on here though would have to be...play by the rules! What do I mean? Keep taking the medication - adherence is key! And get on with living!! HIV is only the problem you make it. I have never made it the be all and end all of who I am - 30 years later...I'm still going strong and using the same mantra.

Keep safe and stay safe too which is perhaps more important.

That's great, it's just making sure you stick to your routine of taking your pills daily and staying healthy. 4 years now for me and I never forget my pills but most of the time I forget that I have HIV. It only comes into my head when I think of dating.
