hi I’m 46 and in menopause ,I’ve always had the odd flutter pvc pac but most recently last year felt what felt like eptopics in a row an awful feeling ,saw an EP and he put a 7 day heart monitor on me the results come back with a few episodes of nsvt longest episode 7 beats, had all test done which were normal, all this has coincided with irregular periods hot flushes and bloods show I’m in full menopause my question is I’m suffering with the menopause symptoms but is it safe to take HRT in transdermal oestrogen and utragestan- progesterone as my hormones are really low my nsvt may be part of my low hormones? Kind regards

Hello Derose, thank you for your post, it is always best to check with the GP or nurse as they are best placed to advise you on the best type of HRT is suitable in your circumstances.

I have been on bioidentical hormone therapy since 2016 and has only helped. I have testosterone pellets, estrogen patch and compounded progesterone. No bother to my heart. Probably helps it.

Let me start by saying : Hello and you will be absolutely fine Derose.

I have had NSVT and I was freaked out. I had PVCs and PACs almost daily.

NSVT is basically PVCs that lasted longer.

NSVT in some medical definitions are 16 PVCs in a row.

Don’t get into the psychological cycle of worrying and based on google results you will drop dead suddenly.

It is not like that at all. You have a healthy heart and you will live long. Please enjoy every minute.

If you remember what you did that day (or day before) you got NSVT, but let me guess:

You ate salty food, or did not get enough sleep, or ate Chinese food,

Or have stomach and gas problem, or your were internally stressed,

Or you took antihistamine medication, or nose blockage medication,

Or you ate blood vessel constriction food or activities like smoking.

Not what you're looking for?
