I need some advice?

I'm 24 and saw a cardiologist after fainting at work (I work in a school). after lots of tests I was told there was evidence of type 3 Brugada and told it wasn't enough to warrant any worry. I collapsed again not long after my birthday and was taken to A&E I'd suffered a fast heart rate for 1 and a half hours and collapsed at the end of the work day. By the time the ambulance came I was sitting up and responsive. They didn't find anything wrong.

Since then I haven't fainted but my heart does something off almost bi-weekly sometimes leaving me feeling awful and unable to continue with the work day.

There's a lot of pressure at work for me to just get on with it and with nothing officially wrong I feel like I have to comply.

What can I do to get this sorted out?

You need to ask your cardiologist or be referred to one again and ask for a 24 hr holter monitor to try catch it whilst its racing and if you've not already had one and an echocardiogram to check the structure of your heart.

I’ve had an echo. Everything is normal except the valves let blood back into my heart I was told this is benign. I will ask for another 24 hour tape

Thank you I really appreciate it!

Ask for a 7 day holter. A 24 hour holter is more likely to miss any events. They may not be keen, but you can only ask. Be firm if necessary.

I was told that my pvc was not "problematic." but like you a black-out let me know that something was amiss. keep asking questions and read everything you can find about your symptoms. school work can be stressful, (33 years). its your health, so stay involved. they don't like it when you do, but keep pressing.

The same thing happened to me. Actually .. you took a page right out of my book. My PCP and cardiologist couldn't find anything wrong and actually advised that I start only going to the ER if I pass out twice in a day. I went for a second opinion at a larger hospital. Ask for a cardiac MRI. It tells them a lot about what's going on in the heart. It turned out to be myocarditis for me ... which messed up the electrical system pretty well.

I'll ask for sure! And maybe go somewhere else, the NHS is just so slow for me (I suppose there's an increase in heart problems). I'm glad you figure your hearts out! :)

And thank you

I'd get a second opinion. There seems to be an issue that needs to be addressed. Prayers for you🙏
