Kardia readings.
The Kardiamobile measures the changes in electrical charges that your heart generates as it beats. It is programmed to recognise a set series of positive and negative charges and call that a beat.If your heart is not creating the positive and negative charges in a pattern that the Kardiamobile recognises as set beats it is possible for it to get the count slightly wrong but they are pretty accurate.
Either way it sounds like you should try to get help from a cardiology team to be sure and sort out your problem.
I often take my pulse and think it feels quite regular and a reasonable rate, but when I use my Kardia device, it reports a faster rate and Afib ! As deniseinmilden indicates, the Kardia is able to detect electrical impulses that it is not possible to feel manually. I sometimes double check with my blood pressure device and find it tends to agree with Kardia !
