My arrhythmia BPM cycles through BPM 120-140 for 1-2 weeks and then stable at 70-80 for 2-3 weeks almost like clockwork - during the weeks when BPM racing I suffer from really aching upper arms and legs - does anyone else get this and have any top tips ? Thanks Pete

Hi Pete, I don't really have any idea about this but I noticed no-one else seems to have been able to help either, so I thought I'd wade in! As you seem to have really regular bouts of arrhythmia I wonder if you had thought to test your blood oxygen levels in both rhythmic and arrhythmic cycles as more oxygen reaching the tissues in rhythmic cycles might be preventing the build up of lactic acid, which is what causes those post exercise pains we get.You can check levels with either a smart watch, fitbit or one of those pulse oxymeter gadgets for your finger (now available for under £10, so the cheapest option). Accuracy isn't really that necessary in this experiment. You would just need to look for trends in both rhythmic and arrhythmic cycles and see if there's a drop when you are arrhythmic. But of course if this is worrying you, then get a real opinion from someone medically qualified!
