Hi all, my poor old ticker is playing up again. Normally at this time of the day it would be clanging along at about 40 ticks a minute. Tonight it's varying from 68 to 107 for no particular reason. I've tried a hot bath but made no difference, tried a drink of water, holding my breath, all to no avail. The only thing that has brought it back to normal is going to A&E, in the past, by the time I get there it's back to normal. Then I go home because the wait to actually see a doctor is often many hours. Tonight I shall do my waiting at home😁 I was referred by my GP last November to see a cardiologist and have a halter monitor for a week, my appointment was in mid February but has been cancelled for covid. Anyone with any bright ideas how to get it back to normal?

Please contact you GP for further advice, they will be able to follow up your referral on your behalf. If you require any further information or advice then please do not hesitate to contact me direct. Kind regards Tracy
Thank you for your reply, I will try and contact a GP today, my HR has gone back to the old normal of around 40 beats a minute at rest, though under light exercise this morning it was bouncing between 60 and 135and back to 60 all within ten seconds.
Just to mention, hot baths send my hr way up as I have a version of POTS, also goes up with standing. Hope you are better soon.
After phoning the GP, I wasn't given an appointment with a doctor by the receptionist, just told to phone again tomorrow. I spent the day doing some heavy work lifting and moving concrete slabs, as I did yesterday. My heart rate has settled back to just over 40 BPM but my app often says I have an arrhythmia along with bradycardia. My wife thinks I should be having the covid vaccination, but as I am only 64 and a half and in the pathetic Welsh NHS I am in group 9 so not expecting a vaccine anytime soon.
