Hi just found this link and joined. Very recently discovered I have left bundle branch block. I have a slow pulse - anywhere between 40 and 60. I have an erratic blood pressure which is very difficult to take, and has to be done manually.

My GP is not concerned but I read somewhere I should get an echocardiogram and I want to ask her to refer me for that.

I would also feel happier if I could speak to a specialist like a cardiologist.

How much fuss should I make!?

Hi unbusy please can u tell me how you got on with cardiologist about you lbbb I have just seen on my ecg report that I have ectopic beats plus a lbbb I’m so worried about this I’ve never heard of it before ?? Thankyou

Hi Best2.The cardiologist was very helpful but I consulted him mainly about my 24 hour blood pressure recording.

I did however, ask him about the LBBB, and he advised me to get an echocardiogram done, as a precaution to make sure nothing else is going on.

My GP was very dismissive in that she said LBBB was nothing at all to worry about. I am just plucking up courage to ask her to refer me. But I will go privately if I need to.

I'd never heard of LBBB before either.

Let me know how you get on - best wishes,

Elizabeth.
