Hi there. I had a horrible time withdrawing from bisoprolol so changed to Atenolol and withdrawal from that has been much easier . Have now been off 17 days and still getting some withdrawal effects . Doctors and pharmacists trot out these optimistic figures on chemical clearances , but from what I have been able to discover from other people s experiences three to four weeks is a more realistic figure for starting to get back to normal . Some people can just stop beta blockers and don’t get any side effects but an awful lot struggle . I had a cardiologist helping with my withdrawal and I emailed him any ecgs from my Kardia that caused me concern , he said just beta blocker withdrawal it does take your heart/ body time to get back to normal after beta blockade. As ever, if your heart does anything that causes you concern ask a doctor . I hope your symptoms settle soon
