Looks like I've reached the end of the road with conservative treatment. My electrophysiologist has advised implanting a single lead pacemaker and staying on cordarone. (I'm naturally Bradycardic and even the slightest medicine makes it worse).
Has anyone been advised similarly? This is for SNRT and Abnormal automaticity that was found in the last EP study..

Well that stinks... sorry to hear you have come to the end of the road. Just curious, how is the pacemaker going to help? Or are the going to try to ablate all the spots that are misfiring? Or ablate the sinus node itself? I guess I’m wondering how they will get rid of the high heart rates.
I have snrt too and ist (or something like you), I never did the ep study. I am still just battling through with meds but I seem to be ok most of time with low heart rates and blood pressure. Occasionally I’ll get close to passing out but I’d rather feel that than all the high rates, etc.
When are you scheduled to have this done? Please keep us posted and fingers crossed it works great for you.
The pacemaker is to help me tolerate the medicines. I am unable to take anything for the high hr as it causes severe bradycardia. So now, the drugs can do their thing controlling the highs and the pacemaker will hopefully ensure that brady doesn't happen.
I guess I might do this next month. Thanks for your wishes.. will keep u posted.
(Oh and no ablation.. they said that as no tachy could be induced on the table, ablation is not a good idea)
I see... that makes sense. So you will be able to take enough meds to control the tachy by setting a bottom bpm for the pacer for the brady. What will they do for the low blood pressure? Or I guess if you stay on coralanor, it doesn’t lower bp?
