Cordarone

Hello, I am a new member of the forum.I want to ask about the following:- After 3 months of Amiodoran use, I am about to switch to Sotalol. Does anyone here have experience with this? All answers are valuable to me.

I was on Cordarone initially for 4 years. Switched on to Bisoprolol 5 mg for another 3 years, later on Ivabradine for about 4 years. Have hypothyroidism on mediaction. After covid 19 in 2020 I also developed respiratory illness for which I have to take inhalers.

Amiodarone hydrochloride (L3428, Cordarone; Labaz Laboratories) is a benzofuran derivative and contains iodine. Amiodarone is a noncompetitive antagonist of alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors.

I take Plavix,Cordarone,Telmisartan,Famotidine,Indapamid,and Pradaxa,which will be cut back very soon I hope?

The doctor said to me that I don't need a cordarone again and I will stop taking meds, all I need is to change my life style to a healthy life style. now I want to ask is Im safe without medicines? is afib will back to me again?

what is the esteemed members' opinion on Cordarone? Been on it 30 yeras, every time I tried to change, AF paroxism would follow. Maybe there are some new drugs these days?

My electrophysiologist has advised implanting a single lead pacemaker and staying on cordarone. (I'm naturally Bradycardic and even the slightest medicine makes it worse). Has anyone been advised similarly? This is for SNRT and Abnormal automaticity that was found in the last EP study..

How many others are there out there, still undiagnosed with thyroid damage after taking Amiodarone/Cordarone, who like me thought the dreadful tiredness they experienced was caused by their AF? What are your thoughts please? Jean

Hello jest wanted to know how people are doing on Amiodarone (Cordarone)

Have been on Amiodarone (Cordarone) for 3 years and Ep has decided to take me off and give me Multaq. Anything I should watch for etc?? Thank you! xxxx

I ask because I am seeing my Doctor on Tuesday and feel sure he will recommend this as after taking Cordarone for what seems an age I don't think it has worked.
