Been a while since I posted but after a clear Echo, clear ECG and a 7 day holter I have been diagnosed with mostly NSR but occasional bouts of Junctional Rhythm, I'm a 29 year old female, not obese not overly active but I try to exercise semi-regularly and do run about after my little children all day.
I have been told that this is fairly common and nothing concerning - it's a hearts natural response at times but nothing feels natural about it and my PVC's or feeling of a 'skipped heartbeat' seems to be occuring more regularly than ever. I have been advised to start taking some medication - I am yet to pick it up from the pharmacy but has anyone had any experience with medication - what has worked for you all?

That is so low a dose, I am on 10Mg a day for A/fib. In most cases , this is one of the best and been out years. Heart targeted. You may feel slight tiredness for a couple of weeks.

Hi Kellylou, keen to know how you're getting along side effects wise. I've read some of your posts and know how hard it is coping with anxiety and this condition - I've just been recently diagnosed myself with A Flutter. Started taking the same med and dose as yourself a week ago. Have had heaviness in chest and feeling like breathing is more laboured at least once a day. Hope it subsides. Best wishes, Ian.
Hi I-a-n, Thanks for reaching out! I really do think that starting this medication added to my anxiety, I naively expected a magical cure and when I got the laboured breathing etc. I was almost certain I had something serious as a side effect and that the medication was making me worse!I’m now 4 weeks in, and have persevered with it and I’m feeling largely okay.. (bar my pvcs which seem to be in overdrive at night time now!) I find now that my breathing is fine when sitting still or exercising but can sometimes catch me out if I go from sitting or standing and then having to use a sudden bout of energy like dash up the stairs quickly, I don’t let this scare me now and often have to remind myself that my heart is being told to slow me down so it’s a normal response, I find therefore the laboured breathing has somewhat gotten easier as time has progressed. I no longer feel chest heaviness or the sunken chest feeling I mentioned in one of my previous posts so hopefully that gives you some reassurance.
As for whether I will continue long term with this medication I am still undecided simply because it’s the pvc’s I can’t stand and it doesn’t seem to have touched them at all.
Wishing you all the best with your journey! Please do stay in touch!
Thank you so much Kellylou for taking the time to reply. I think my anxiety has made me hypersensitive to every single sensation. I'll get there im sure. X
