I have af I had a successful cv, I went to see my specialist to told me to come off Bisopolol over three. A day later went back in to AF. I've seen my electrocardial specialist who advised that I should live with Af. He says there is a good chance that an ablation may not work. What should I do? live with AF or ask for the ablation.

Hi eroom, have you thought of maybe asking for a second opinion?

It really depends on how you cope with AF. If your symptoms have no significant effect on your quality of life then this alone would justify your EP’s view.

That’s BS! My Dr told me to get the ablation first thing but I wanted to try the cv first. I’m 70 and runner for 41 years and mountain biker for 38. An extra glass of wine put me back into mild a fib. Had the ablation and stopped it. I don’t know where you are but I went to dr Chun Huang in Provo Utah. You can YouTube him.
