'AF, the most common arrhythmia (heart rhythm disorder), can be devastating. It is the most common cause of AF-related stroke which are more debilitating, disabling and all too often fatal. AF, however can easily be detected and treated, a simple pulse check (knowyourpulse.org) can teach us all to be pulse rhythm aware, it could save our lives. However with new technology making it even easier to detect AF there really is no reason why 500,000 people are still undiagnosed. The new Apple Watch ECG monitor is yet another step towards ensuring people can be involved in their own healthcare and can engage with doctors if they become aware of an irregular rhythm. Digital technology is rapidly progressing and this can only be a good thing for all of us if it leads to quicker diagnosis, access to appropriate treatments and restoring the patient back to a person better able to manage their condition and leading healthier lives.’

Hi, Charleneadmin

I have the Apple Watch 4 and have been using the ECG feature.

The ECG shows little or no sign of p-waves (I think they blitzed all the nerves in my atria when the did the second ablation) but, on my old Kardia (which does not work any more) I was able to use it between my right hand and left knee... and detect p-waves.

When I tried using my apple watch thus, the QRS was inverted, but there was a bump that might have been a p-wave.

Any info anyone?
