Ectopic Heart Beat
I have Svt and ectopics, sometimes I get a bubble feeling going up the left side of my neck where the carotid artery is. I have mentioned it to doctor and got a blank stare, not an answer.
Thanks what’s Delytnn SVT?
Supra ventricular tachycardia. My heart will suddenly increase to up to 200 beats a minute, I have to go to hospital to have it put back to normal. I,ve had ectopics for 43 years, my Svt started 2 years ago, I have had 5 attacks . I,m 71 so a lot older than yourself.
Hello I’ve been suffering from these for over a year. Like you I can go a few days and not get any, and then get several a minute for 24 hours. I’ve had several ECGs, a 48 hour monitor and an ultrasound and have been reassured that my heart is fine. I’ve been told I just “have to live with them” but that’s very difficult because they are very unpleasant and scary. I can’t detect any triggers although I notice I get them more when I’m wheezy with asthma. I’ve asked for further investigations because mine seem to be getting worse. I totally sympathise. Somehow you just have to tell yourself when they’re happening that they’re not dangerous and try and distract yourself with something. Good luck
Thanks for reply they are scary I don’t like to swim now in case I’m caught out. I do a gym class and walk a lot so I’m not breathless. I think it was 6 years ago l had an echocardiogram which showed eptopic heart beat. My trigger seems to be if I’m cold or tired but sometimes it happens out of nowhere. My bp is a lot higher now and hoping it’s not connected
I am 49 and have had ectopics since I was 18. i recently had a bad bout a couple of weeks ago with several; ectopics right next to each other instead of minutes apart which scared me. I also felt a sensation near my collar bone, and base of neck, a bit like a nerve twitching really strongly. I have found over the years that things like this sometimes happen occasionally and then you don't get it for ages. Or a sensation in the throat. I think as long as you have been checked out it might just be one of those unpleasant sensations that those of us with ectopics have to try and put up with....and I know that isn't easy.
Mine is like a thud it scars me l will need to get it checked again
