Hi i have seen a cardiologist electrical specialust and i have long QT ( T wave) especially after exercise.

My resting pulse rate is already low at about 50. Started on 40mg nadolol today but pulse rate is now 45. He wants me on 80mg but im concerned my pulse rate will be extra low. Can i just stop after 1 day ? Guess i need to check with the cardio

Hi - my daughter has long QT type 3.

She is also on nadolol and other meds. I would go with your cardiologist, however the nadolol did wipe her out for a few months. Might be an idea to discuss about the increasing it gradually unless of course you are at high risk. Have a chat to your consultant and express your concern. You can always phone them if no appointment.

Never stop medication especially nadolol.

Hope that helps

Thanks . I am struggling with the side effects so bad today. Pulse is down to 38. Have tight chest and feel awful. Will ask the cardio about either stopping for now or tapering up from a much lower dose
