Hi I need some advice, for the last 5 or 6 months I've had heart palpitations everyday and they've not stopped they even hapoen when I'm resting. I'm quite concerned though I do have anxiety disorder but the palpitations don't go away even when I'm not anxious. I've had a full blood test and it didn't show anything. I'm concerned that I may have a heart problem that wasn't detected? could it possibly be a sign of prolonged grief disorder as I lost my grandad last August of 2017 and I've not been the same since?

Palpitation Concern
So sorry you have had a sad loss.
Palpitations are not necessarily the sign of a faulty heart but can indicate a problem with the heart's electrical system and, if they are very fast or irregular, over the years it can have an effect on the size of one of the heart's chambers. The thing is, our hearts are quite resilient and the enlargement caused can return to normal when the heart returns to its usual rhythm so the disturbance to the rhythm has to be frequent and quite prolonged to cause any damage. It would show up on an echocardiogram. The other test is a 24 hour holter monitor and this might show palpitations. But they need to be quite severe to be harmful and perhaps you may be more worried than you need to be.
Hi. Really try not to worry. A lot of people on here have suffered similar for 20 + years and are still going strong. Sounds like anxiety to me.
Sounds like ectopic beats which is what I get and is common with anxiety and are benign. If you are worried ask for an ecg which will confirm what they are Have a look on YouTube at Sanjay Gupta he's very helpful in explaining them x
