Does anyone know a Firefighter with an ICD???

My brother is a frontline firefighter and due to HCM he may have to have an ICD fitted. He has been told by his heart specialist that he will more then likely have to stop his job. I am trying to find any firefighters in the UK that are working as frontline firefighters to speak about how this affects their job. I have found a few firefighters in the US, but ideally woudl like to find someone in the UK.

Hi wilded, we advise that your brother speaks directly to his employer about the procedure and any potential impacts they foresee once the device is in place. Alternatively, get in touch with a member of the ICD clinic at his implant centre - they can advise on any changes to lifestyle following implant. Thank you.
