Hi any ideas of how to help with healing, my incision is healing well it’s nearly 3 weeks since my total abdominal hysterectomy, but it’s quite sore as I have a bit of a belly hang

Hi Kemali,

Like yourself I have just had a full hysterectomy but still have stents in as I had Endometriosis and it had grown up along to my kidneys on the right side.

I wish I could tell you a magic trick to help us but all ican do 8s offer you support.

With me if I'm up and about for too long I get really bad aches in my pelvis, lower back and just feel as if I have been on one of those SAS assault courses and my stomach (insides) are super tender and sensitive to movement.

I wish you all the best in your recovery x

Hi me too if I’ve walked or been standing for too long I get pains in my tummy I checked with my GP and this is normal healing process apparently. It can last up to 4wks apparently. Speedy recovery and rest basically. Take care

Try three months till it feels anything like normal.

I had my surgery in April 2019. For months after if I did too much, I'd get a shooting pain in my side, the doctor said that was normal, there is a lot of healing that goes on inside and it just takes some time to properly heal. Take it easy and you'll get there.
