Hi i just had a hysterectomy 11 days ago and everything was going fine until today . I woke up in pain and right above my scar is hard and swollen . Can anyone tell me if this is normal pls ? Could it be i'm being over active? All i do is cook and sometimes do alittle laundry , no lifting or stretching .

Yes my scar was hard in places it turned out I had a haematoma under the scar, it's a collection of blood that your body will absorb over time.

Thx for your reply :) i went to the doctor and he told me the exact same thing and that i shouldn't worry . Not everyone gets it . I'm just glad that it's normal cause i was really worried something wrong happened or i was the cause of it .

Just be careful when they take out any staples as mine decided to drain everywhere thought I had busted open so did the nurse so she called a doctors, in the end the put steri strips all down my scar and told me to leave them on until they dropped off in the shower in a few days later just to be sure.

Also on the three places I had a haemotoma I developed incisional hernias but they think that I had not healed properly before my chemo and the left a weakness.
