Hi sorry that you are still in pain and suffering post op, time can be your greatest healer, but also your worst enemy. From postoperative experiences, my bowels have always 'played up', did you have to take a bowel prep prior to surgery? If so then your bowel will need to start to process things again, and what is your appetite like? Cause you will need to eat to get your bowel to function. Then there is pain killers and any drugs that you are taking that can also cause complications. Drinking plenty of fluids exercising walking will all help, but understandable you will still be very sore and have discomfort from your operation. As for urine isuses personaly it was embrassing as i seemed to lose control over my bladder, after 5 Months theres been improvement, but never the same as before. Maybe hormoes Who knows!?! How's the pain doing? Has your scars healed and have you herd anything regarding your biopsy yet? If you are at all concerned it may be worth giving your ward sister a call or maybe your GP tomorrow just to check things are okay? Wish you a speed recovery. Take care. X

I know that I'm on the wrong HRT at the moment, but it can't be changed as I'm awaiting surgery, personally I would rather take a tablet daily as I know I've taken it correctly, I'm on inhalers and nasal spray so I don't want anymore of them. It's what suits you best, but it will be a lot of trail and error, be patient it takes time everybody is different and responds differently to all medication. Have your had any symptons yet, sweats, hot flushes, mood swings etc? I wish you the VERY best of luck tomorrow with your appointment, it is nerve wrenching from my own experience walking down that corridor seems endless, the closing if the door, the opening of their mouth! soo many times I ve been in tears before the doctors even opened their mouths. But I've also learnt 'what will be will be' We have to face what's put in front of us, deal with it the best you can( i can offer the advice to others, but find it difficult to deal with it myself!). Sometimes to helps to talk. Will your husband attend your appointment with you to support? Was your stitches not disolvelble? Unusually or is your consultant 'old school type'? I'm hoping my next surgery is all laposcopic with dissolvable stitches. Was your surgery done as a day case? How's your bladder now compared with all your previous surgery? good luck. X let me know the outcome.
