Is this shingles?

I have had shingles before in 2016, but this is directly under the hairline, head hot itchy and sore, liable to sweating, again under the hairline. It started six months ago like ground glass, just sensitive, then got got more pronounced? Scabs, always hot head. Could it be a reaction to turmeric which I have started to take since Sept 2021. I now have Prostate Cancer taking Bicalutamide since 12th August, but even only since then aggravates it even more? I have tried medicated shampoo recently no distinct change or improvement! Always use Head & Shoulders everyday, [sound like a shampoo advert?] a shower everyday!

I would wonder a bit about possible aquagenic pruritis related to the MPN. Or a skin reaction to something your body does not like. I avoid all shampoos, soaps, and laundry products that have any perfumes or dyes. (NF related skin sensitivity). Would also consider a medication side effect. I expect you already know that Bicalutamide can have rash as an adverse effect. It could exacerbate whatever is going on.

Hope you get this sorted ASAP my friend.

I agree that the Bicalutamide could be exacerbating it, have really tried to ignore it, but with this PC routine started, but just heard bone scan next Monday so will your suggestions to the surface!👍

Could it be dermatitis, since I have had it since about February, shingles would only be short term, the bicalutamide even the bone scan no really bad effect🤞 Thus the effect of stress would certainly explain it, rather than a reaction to medication? Certainly going through a lot of that at this time!

The skin is the #1 organ affected by stress. Even beats out the stomach.

Hope you get it sorted soon.
