I have claustrophobia and have had it since I was a child buried in a sand dune, I have told various GP's over the years, [nothing?]. I am 65, near retirement, living alone and adapting my house as 'open plan' as possible! I am living on basic benefit, but absolutely no help from the "NHS" in all my years!

Exposure therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy are the two main treatments for claustrophobia. You could try joining a support group.
I tried a support group many years ago, nothing, that is one of the troubles of NHS Northern Ireland, a bit like a string vest, many holes in it? but worth another try? Thanks!👍
