Yesterday saw a number of article popping up about new research that supposedly links the noise from wind turbines with hearing loss. However, the actual study reported in these article didn't look at wind turbines and didn't look at hearing loss.

We emailed the journalist with a link to our For the Record and putting the offer to her of helping her find a scientist next time she writes an article. She responded very quickly to say she had been unable to reach anyone when she was writing the piece and that she'd get in touch next time. We'll definitely keep an eye out and hopefully next time she'll get in touch.
I knew someone who used to work in a Wind Tunnel during late 1940's in a UK research establishment and successfully sued the organisation involved for damage to his hearing when working in the tunnel whilst it was in operation.
