Damaged sweat glands from an operation?

My sweat glands? were damaged during a back operation, I sweat copiously, and have done so for 18 years, [smell pretty bad!] if they are damaged for so long an operation or such would probably be worthless, or is there a plausible alternative to my problem?

Have you talked to your GP about it? I know someone who had botox to reduce the problem.

it is plausible that the surgery caused accidental damage to your nervous system which can lead to excessive sweating. If that is the case then a type of drug called Anticholinergics - which block the effects of the nervous system - could be useful.

Agree with piglette - talk to your GP - there are many effective treatments out there

Have a look at diet. Change your diet, change the sweat, and change the time it takes for the sweat to produce the wrong type of smells.

I have learnt from experience that when I retch I sweat copiously. When I suffer certain types of pain in the stomah area I sweat. As an experiment see if your stomach area is too tight and do exercises to try and relax this area. It may make a modification or not. I am in the realms of don't know and am experimenting to to see.
