Hi Folks, Recently I read an article about how intermittent fasting can help in losing weight on a website called The Health Journal, the article was well explanatory but my question is does anybody else tried it, and did they get any results?

Is Intermittent Fasting really Help in Weight Lose?
It depends on whether you mean time restricted eating (e.g. 16:8) or days of not eating/very low calorie. I've done time restricted eating, it didn't really result in weight loss for me, but it can for some.
I think the main idea is that if you limit your eating window, you'll eat fewer calories without having to count how many you're eating.
Michael Mosely does.this diet 5_2 there does seem to be quite a lot for evidence that it works.He.was.a type 2.diabetic and has puy himself into remission,he.has done television programs.worth a look.
Hey Joyce. I did intermittant fasting - time restricted - an d lost my lockdown stone. Fell off the wagon before I shifted the other 3. Back on now. I kept my eating to a 10 hour period, (between 08:00 and 18:00 - no snacks, etc. Just water or black coffe outside those times). It makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
You can do eight hours, but ten worked for me. It didn't seem like a punishment. (I'm a Veggie so I don't even read Michael Mosely's articles anymore).
Please can you share some of your meal ideas?
Hi Veeee - I really don't want to share as I'm having a review. I eat too many carbs. My favourites are Pasta with Red Pesto and grated Cheddar, Cheese Salad Wrap, Marmite, Peanut Butter or Banana on Toast. Lidl do Butter Beans in a Tomato Sauce, in Greek week, I usually get about 10 tins. Great on Toast instead of Baked Beans.
hello it really helps with weight loss 😄 i have lost a few pounds . For a holiday During one month i fast from sunrise to sunset i have also seen a significant difference in my gut health as well . There is scientific evidence that fasting helps in so many ways its like a reset for your digestive system 😄
Hi, I'm just getting back into IF, which I've enjoyed doing, and had good results with in the past. Last week I did a 72hr fast, which went really well (I'd never continue with a fast if I felt unwell - in any shape or form, or felt too weak to carry on with my normal routine). It's too early to tell if it's helped with weightloss yet, but my guts feel better and I feel more energised. For me IF is more of a lifestyle thing, rather than a weightloss tool per se, but I'm currently obese - so losing weight is deffo something I'm looking to do!😁 - using a time restricted eating window, plus a longer fast once a month. Best of luck if you decide to try IF! And let us know how you got on.
Reading these posts confirms what I was thinking. IF does help with weight loss although I keep hearing from some "experts" that it doesn't. Of course it won't work if you eat two pizzas during your non-fasting hours. 🤣
