Cooked or raw? Which is best
Spinach : Cooked or raw? Which is best - Healthy Eating
Spinach
If it's young and fresh from the garden - raw - no contest. If you grow more than that, then a generous quantity cooked into stir fries or casseroles is brilliant.Same if it's shop bought - only the baby leaves sold for salad are then good enough to eat raw, otherwise it needs cooking.
Just my two pennorth!

Spinach
The leafy green is packed with nutrients, but you’ll absorb more calcium and iron if you eat it cooked. The reason: Spinach is loaded with oxalic acid, which blocks the absorption of iron and calcium but breaks down under high temperatures.
There is a little more on the site but I thought this would answer your question and it's also stated why.
