I have already had my second COVID jab about 2 weeks ago.
I’m just posting because the other day on 23rd June 2021 I went out for afternoon tea and I had a slice of cake 🍰 and juice drink 🥤 as it was really hot. I was perfectly fine and then when I got home I fell asleep at 9pm then woke up again at 12pm and I suddenly felt strange not quite myself and felt funny. The day after I had slight tummy pains and felt really tired head ringing a little bit. Not feeling my normal self since then.
Has anyone had these symptoms or feelings before and what do you think it could be? Some advice would be perfect for me now I’m quite worried.
Many thanks 🙏

Tummy pains are not one of the usual side effects of the Covid jab, but tiredness and headaches are. They usually hit in the first couple of days though, so if you think this may be related to the jab you should talk to your doctor (or phone 111 to talk to the NHS if you are in the UK)
On the other hand, you say it was a really hot day - these could all be symptoms of getting too hot and not drinking enough. If this is the case, you need to have plenty of fluids, (but not much caffeine or alcohol!).
Nausea can be a side effect from the vaccine. The first three days is what has been recorded as the time frame for most side effects. However there have been things showing up until the 14 day mark.
I'm not giving medical advice but I think Whydothis is on to something with the dehydration and the heat.
Always best to run things by your MD. They want to know signs and symptoms post vaccine. This is how they are collecting data. Just give them a ring.
I think it may have been the juice drink possibly on the verge of going off, I think it unlikely to be the cake.
Can you get into a Pharmacist and gets some Rehydration salts? They just need mixing with cold water, and will help in hot weather. My son often needs them. If you can't get them then a home grown version is a Serving spoon of sugar and a pinch of salt in a Litre (2 U.S. Pints.) of water. You can add some fruit flavouring if you wish. Stir till dissolved and drink. Mix Fresh each time.
