You might find it nicer to make a turmeric paste:1cup turmeric

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/4 cup water

1tbsp black pepper

Heat in a saucepan until the water has been absorbed and the paste is nice and thick.

You can store in the fridge for a couple of weeks, and most just take a tsp a day. You can also portion up and freeze (can be eaten frozen).

Currently no, but a while back I was taking a teaspoon of grated raw turmeric. Bought it from the health store in the refrigerated section. The ingredients were turmeric, coconut oil and salt only. They had another option that included black pepper which better aids the absorption but opted out because it would irritate my stomach.

My stomach didn't care for the mix either. So it was a first and last try for the capsules I had bought.

Hi I keep telling my mam this as she's on them had 2 heart attacks and stents and inflammation was detected so they kept her in hospital but this was 2 half years ago she sprinkles it on nearly every meal i know have to be careful on meds with food as food is a medicine, chamomile tea eases my tummy probs sometimes gets bit sore and have trouble digestion due to teeth problems and stress upsets it 🤗

Ok thank you 🤗

I make my own kefir and have approx 100ml a day into which I put 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, a good grinding of black pepper and a shake of ground cumin. No idea if it’s doing any good but it tastes good to me.

I use a turmeric tea by "Traditional Medicinals " It's blended with Meadowsweet and ginger root. Each bag has 750mg of turmeric. I use it sporadically for arthritis flare ups. Seems to work well. I supposed if I used it daily I'd see better results. I also uise a CBD based "salve " as topical application and that works very well. The tea is a nice thing to sip at night just around bed time. Just 'cause😀.

Are you wanting to take it for anti-inflammatory properties? The reason I ask is because I have tried tumeric in many forms but have never found it to be effective.

However, I have recently taken up drinking green tea and have been surprised at how I have been able to reduce pain medication.
