Intermittent fasting

Am trying intermittent fasting for weight loss and would like to report so far so good.

My question is that recording everything is lost in a myriad of apps on the topic and wondering if anyone can recommend a free app to try. Thank you all.

Hi Biomet Just wanted to say that I'm glad to hear you're doing well with your intermittent fasting.

Previously, I used to use 'Myfitnesspal' which is free to use - but I don't think that's an 'app'. I hope you find an app that is helpful to you. Wishing you success with all your goals.

Zest :-)

Thank you Zest. I am currently using ‘My Fitness Pal’ and find this quite useful inc conjunction with the NHS Weight Loss Plan. Just wondering if there was any other app to use.

What are you looking to record? I recommend cronometer for food, as it's database is the most accurate. Cronometer has a fasting feature, but only in paid version. I use Zero if I want to track my fasting, but that's only for multiple day fasts.

I don't recommend the NHS plan, but I guess you aren't really following it, as they recommend 3 meals + snacks. They also recommend low fat, but that makes IF much harder.

Thank you Subtle Badger, for your input. I’ll check Zero out and see how it fits into the IF I’m following at the moment.

Does Cronometer record carbs correctly for the UK?

What is a chronometer?

It’s a food/macro/exercise tracker along the lines of My Fitness Pal. I haven’t used it yet, I was wondering if it was as good as or better than MFP and was asking Subtle_badger how good it was for recording carbs.
