Nut luncheon and new potatoes with salad 🥒🍅

Hi everyone,

It must be the poll on salads but this is what I had tonight as I bought some locally grown new potatoes and a few other salad veg this morning. The nut luncheon is made with just peanuts and water with a little salt it’s really nice sautéed in a little olive oil, I had lettuce cherry toms grated cheese onion and carrot with some new potatoes.

I love salad and usually have a salad sandwich for lunch so I know I have more than my 5 a day.

Wow! That's a really fantastic looking salad! We had a side salad last night and added feta cheese, almonds, black olives and light Caesar dressing. We also had different types of hummus and stuffed grape leaves and gluten free crackers and Greek yogurt.

Thank you! It’s one of my favorite things to do and add feta cheese when it’s possible! Adds more protein for the meal/salad.😀👍🌈🥗

Hi Jerry that's looks really good I like the idea of the nut thing looks and sounds interesting full of protein I love nuts but can't chew or digest them properly but the squirells aren't complaining lol, I just read Leah's as remembered black olives not green there yak are something I put on too not the salted ones tho have to be from the fresh salad bar in supermarket, I can't believe how exited I've been about having avacados again even cutting them in half and looking at them seems like a dream, I don't think a lot of us realise how much this curtailed life style has effected us well we know it has bit it hits harder when we experience what we've missed if you know what I mean and I took a photo of the leisure centre yesterday where I used to swim and it brought a tear as I remembered swimming in there with my sister and her grand children we had such a giggle, my mam's so stressed again now about the African virus and of course it runs off on me so that's why I have to go home sorry for rabble I only came on to say I liked your meal lol I had a cheese and tomato sandwhich for supper 😁

Thanks Mandy, nut luncheon is a great source of protein and its tasty and healthy. I love cheese and tomato sandwiches too so good for you.

As for these new variants everyone is spooked, I met a lady in the forest with her two young children and I said how nice it was they out in the forest and mum told me that both children ask will we get ill if we go out for a walk...so its hit home thats for sure and all we can do is stay safe and keep everyone else safe. 🌈😊

Hi Jerry I know I did a post this morning saying just that as I don't get anxious like mam maby it's as of her big fear of dying and as she's high risk she said it's the way you die with the virus I said it won't be as bad now she's got vaccine, and it's hard to explain but it's almost impossible to stop her anxiety as you know it breeds, and can escalate out of all proportion it's partly as she's not going out or thinking of much else I'll try get her out today 😊
