New potatoes with green lentils baby leeks and broccoli tender stems.
Hi everyone,
This was what I had for dinner tonight its green lentils with tender stem broccoli, baby leeks and onions in a gravy made with a little rice flour and cold water the water I cooked the leeks and broccoli in and some yeast extract.
Its nice simple honest food and all the veg are local and it was lovely to have these new potatoes as they remind me of Spring.

That's amazing Jerry and I would love to see a local fruit and vegetable shop here, bring back the local shops. 😊😊
Fortunately Alicia my town is just big enough to sustain local shops and the shop keepers have risen to the challenge so we can avoid the supermarkets and they really appreciate our support. And on another level those of us who are shopping locally are forming bonds with the local shop keepers and we all now have a real sense of community as we're in this together.
This is the one thing that I do like that has happened because of the pandemic.🌈😊
I think that's great Jerry and I'd definitely support local shops. We've got a little shopping precinct around 3.5 miles away from us but they seem to be letting shops shut and leaving them empty, it's dying and it's so sad. Years ago the precinct used to be buzzing. Don't you just love a sense of community, I do feel that when I pop into our local shop and buy a paper, a few other bits and my magazines each week, they are lovely people and I often see people I know in there.
Yes I agree, I think it's excellent where you are in that everyone seems to have come together. 🌈😊👍
