Dear All,
Today I cooked some Brussel Sprouts, in with some Greens. However I took some, Darker 'Outer' leaves, along with the Lighter 'Inner' ones. I was careful, to remove any 'bad' bits, before also cutting out the 'harder' stalks. Next I prepared some Brussel Sprouts, and put then in some slightly salted water (I use Malden Sea Salt myself), in a fairly large saucepan. Next I Tore the 'Greens' leaves, this technique can release more flavour, and added these to the pot before pouring over Boiling Water. I then brought them 'back' to the boil, about two minutes, before cooking them fully. I placed some Chipolata Sausages, under the Grill, when put the Vegetables on to boil.
When the 'Greens' were done, and the Chipolatas nearly so, I made some gravy using the Veg water. I severed the Chipolatas, Boiled Potatoes and the Greens, all at the same time.... Yum, Yumπππ. The Different Textures, and flavours, were Amazing.
A Very Good Meal, and easy to make too.
