I have started to eat healthy again , I started by throwing out all the sugary foods in my apartment and buying fruits and veggies and granola bars, by doing this I have lost 6 pounds , eating healthy is really important for everyone including athletes.

Good stuff swimmer21! Frankly, I'd avoid granola bars because they're just sweets disguised as heath food, but dumping sugar and eating more veg has got to be a good thing.

TAD is spot on here. Granola bars can be carriers for definitely sugar but also and oil & salt.

Even the Nakd range of foods, which are pretty healthy by comparison (possibly dates, raspberry, coconut) because they have no added sugar, largely rely on dried fruit, and if you want healthy - then it is fresh or frozen fruit only.

That said, in the end it is all about improving your diet. If granola is an improvement for you then go with it for now...

Have you tried a Plant Food Diet? Watch Netflix “Forks over Knives,” there is also two apps you can get...forks over knives recipes and a forks over knives meal planner. Good Luck!

Good luck Swimmer21. I follow the line of thinking supported by TheAwfulToad, and have found their posts full of good advice. Well done for ditching the obviously sugary stuff, and you may want to read up on carbs that become sugar in the bloodstream and have the same effect. I hope you do well with this :))
