Sugar Sustitutes
Hi gur1302
I do not know the specific names 'Gud Khand' or 'Bura' - but I did do a post about Artificial Sweeteners about 3 years ago, and I still think it could have relevance currently, as it has many helpful replies from people who have been looking at articles etc about 'artificial sweeteners' - so you might like to look through:

I hope it is helpful to you.

Thanks ! But these are not artificial sweetener but raw by products of sugar. They are made locally and are not refined in big factories rather are too raw.
Oh I see. I had no idea what they were. I should have looked them up before trying to respond. My apologies. Hopefully someone will be able to give you a helpful reply. Zest
Just popping back with another article I found, entitled "How Artificial Sweeteners Affect Blood Sugar and Insulin" - by Healthline:

Can you find out if Gud Khan or Bura break down to glucose, fructose, lactose? All those trigger insulin and thus weight gain and all the associated chronic diseases. If they are derived from sugar cane they probably are just a different form of regular sugar which isn't good. Here in the US, to protect the sugar industry, sugar is promoted as "natural" which is highly misleading. It's ANYTHING but natural. I noticed that Gud Khan is marketed as "natural" too, but you might want to check into whether or not it's just more processed sugar cane. Personally I switched to stevia.
