Does anyone have any tips or information about the difference between real sugar, refined sugar, and sugar alcohol? I usually use sweetnlow, stevia or splenda in my tea or coffee and I am not sure if that's a good or bad thing for my digestive system. I experience problems on and off with my digestive system, and sometimes it gets so bad that I curl up in a ball and have to wait for pain to pass, usually like 10-15 min. I am wondering if it is the type of foods I eat. Since I am an athlete and in college, I am always in a rush, so I am forced to eat more processed foods than I would like such as protein bars, yogurt cups, etc. I try to find bars that are sweetened with eyrthritol and sugar alcohol rather than sugar. Is that a bad thing?
