I put a pile of lentils in a pan on a low heat. Add water to cover (and later add steadily more and more water throughout the recipe as necessary to keep ingredients covered with water.) Add turmeric, black pepper and cumin. Add chopped broccoli stem, two chopped cloves of garlic. Add half a lemon chopped. Blitz this to a smooth stew consistency. Add sweetcorn (I had a fresh cob so I stripped and added that.) Add a bag of dark leafy greens. Ensure it is all cooked as you wish.
