Sugar and Fat goals

Currently trying to sort out my eating habits as I’ve never been a fruit and veg kinda gal. But I’m struggling to keep the sugar goal down and bump the fat goal up... I could be looking at this wrong as am trying to lose weight all at the same time...

Dropping sugar and fruit and upping fat and veg is a very good approach to healthy weight loss.

You still need to be in calorie deficit to lose weight, obviously, regardless f your macro split. There is a specific LCHF group on here which is undergoing a bit of a renaissance at the mo, which is worth checking out.

It could be that you're attempting to do it too cautiously. Ramping down sugar/carbs while ramping up fat does work for some people, but it's a bit like pulling off a band-aid: for the vast majority it's better to just get the job over and done with. Stop the carbs/sugar and eat fat. It'll feel a bit weird initially, but adaptation is very rapid. With the slow-and-steady approach, your body tends to protest.

It's true that weight loss will require a calorie deficit, but the good news is that on a fat-based diet your body tends to enforce this automatically if you're already overweight; there doesn't seem to be be any need to consciously eat fewer calories.

Almost any diet that is calorie deficient for your body/exercise etc will help you lose weight. If you want proof just drink water!

Only the whole food plant based approach will help you lose weight while eating as many calories as you can possibly eat at each and every meal.
