Haven’t posted here before but looking forward to my lunch- sweet potato, avocado, courgettes with garlic and chilli, roasted red cabbage with grapes and pumpkin seeds and coriander and lime chicken burgers left over from last night. Have made my first ever batch of water kefir which tastes fantastic. Happy Thursday everyone!

Aw, that’s very kind Jerry. I recently kicked sugar out of the door, having been gluten free for a year and dairy free more recently due to autoimmune issues, and I’m enjoying nutrient dense food enormously.

A great post. I'm here for getting more ideas towards anti-inflammatory diet. Useful if this hub got an anti-inflammatory diet section. Lots of people with autoimmune conditions would be keen to join in.

Hi! To be honest I really noticed the biggest difference of all when I cut out refined sugar a few weeks ago. I have Hashimoto’s and am beginning to develop rheumatoid arthritis and decided to take action!

Hi Claire! Didn’t know you’re on here. Nice to hear from you. I bought water kefir grains off Amazon for about a fiver and followed their instructions using some sugar (42g), water (720ml) and a handful of sultanas. Waited 48 hours and drank it today. Delicious!

You must try making the kefir! It’s absolutely lovely- almost like drinking a very fermented cider. I can’t wait for tomorrow’s batch to be ready!

PS I tend to make a shedload of salad things once a week then live off them for lunch each day with some kind of protein added. Saves all that chopping every lunchtime! As you know, the GF life can be very time consuming...

The salad recipes are made up, can’t remember where the burgers one came from but I love the deliciouslyorganic website for inspiration. Also love Indy Power’s book, Little Green Spoon.

Looks like perfection to me! And welcome ♥️

Ooh Kipsy that looks yummy, I think I will have to try that. Think I might look into making some water kefir, I tried the milk kefir but didn't get on with it very well and wasted quite a lot of milk.

I’ve never fermented anything before but it was very straightforward. Do have a go!

in reply toKipsy

Thank you and I will have a go; I've just downloads an e-book on how to make water kefir. :)
