My simple dinner for family has just came out from the oven. They are roasted spices chickens with potatoes. We will have them with some green salad. Hope you all have a great day & weekend.

Sorry the picture is not quite bright as it's 6:30 pm and very dark outside.

Thanks. I marinated chickens overnight with grounded turmeric, coriander, cumin, paprika, chilli powder, black pepper, salt, apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice) and olive oil.

Give it a try but if you don't like spices you can marinate with crushed garlic, lemon juice, salt, black pepper and Olive oil. My mother-in-law always does with the garlic & lemon version.

Go for it, cook some for your family. The boys would love it just like my kids. I like cutting the whole chicken into portions so that each person can choose what they like.

we used to buy just wings to fry for the children and thighs for all the other meals.. but for some time now we only buy a whole chicken. roast or boiled chicken is what we have now, children love the breast now.. think next time it will make a nice change to marinate some like we used too. 😊

I usually use free range chicken. It's much cheaper when buying them whole. Boys in my family like chicken breasts while girls always go for legs and thighs. Wings are highly demanded and pretty much gone first.

i wish i could buy free range and corn fed chicken but even in the up market supermarkets you will not find them, there is some thing that looks more like a thine pigeon.

one day i will have to have my own chickens... ive been saying that for many years ☺

What's in Bangkok, are free range chickens available in the supermarkets? I have lot of chooks but only for eggs. My kids do not allow their dad killing any of them πŸ™„

β€’ in reply toLuckysugar

am in pattaya.. i used to have 6 chickens for eggs but i give them away as they got to smelly for my city garden and for other reasons.

when i lived in Korat i had 300 chickens for eggs, i also had some that where for eating but when they got killed i could not eat them...some farmer i would make!
