Hi - I've been diabetic for 20 years (insulin and tabs) & overweight but have settled into a healthy balanced diet that keeps me on an even keel (more or less!). Just diagnosed with gout and it seems the recommended diet suggests avoiding so many foods that are now my staples - no oily fish, no shellfish, no cod/haddock, no offal and only moderate amounts of red meat, cauliflower and peas. How do others manage? Thanks in hope!
