Hi, I like eating nuts and seeds, but have been told that I should activate them. Does anyone here know how to do this? it seems a bit of a mystery to me and I would welcome some advice.

i had no idea about this as this the frist time i heard of it.
i got a big bag of fresh cashew nuts that i would normally lightly fry in olive oil and add salt and sugar. they dont last long in our house.
now what to do ?
yes i read some of it myself. they are soaking them in water or something. i just googled that and read some to make sure it was the one you wanted. i think i will try some sprouting myself. i dont have a garden but i can do it on my kitchen widow ledge. i hope that helped you. love grace xoxoxo
sorry you dont have a garden grace, i dont know what i would without one, not only do i have a love for growing plants but i also have 4 children. they have there pots of everything that they water everyday😍.
we have a very big balcony also and have lots of things growing on there too...
i like to see how you get on if you start growing seeds on your kitchen widow ledge.. coriander is my favourite. xxx
Thanks for the link, it looks really informative.
Try sprouting them. I do it with broccoli and radish seeds as well as mung beans. So much healthier
Yes, I have sprouted seeds, but didn't know what to do with nuts.
Depends on what kinds of nuts you like to eat. I know you can do sprouting with almonds. You just have to search up how to sprout whatever nuts you will be eating. I have done it with almonds before and my stomach felt great after I ate them.
Hello jasyrolo. We are part of the animal kingdom so we should follow the example of other animals. Certainly you can sprout wheat grains which will introduce vitamin C; this would happen in Nature and the birds are the beneficiaries. The same goes for Mustard and Cress; we have a plate in the kitchen on the window cill with a piece of cotton cloth on it. On to half of which we sprinkly first Cress and then three days later the Mustard; make sure you keep it moist. It goes well on top of a salad. As for nuts, I don't see the squirrels in our garden soaking their nuts! Enjoy your kitchen garden. Tibbly
