NEW/OLD: Hi after de-activating my account... - Healthy Eating
NEW/OLD
I've had this problem before- are you eating enough during the day? I find that when I am trying to diet or cleanse, that's when I want to binge the most, because I don't do it properly. Or when you feel like you are going to have a binge, take a couple of deep breaths, drink a large glass of water, and if you're still hungry, try having something that is filling and nutritious, maybe a protein smoothie, they can taste like milkshakes, and are much healthier. I usually make mine with a frozen banana, almond milk, chocolate vegan protein powder, and peanut butter or almond butter.
Also, when you feel like you're going to binge, try to imagine yourself doing it and how you will feel afterwards- maybe go for a walk instead, or do something to keep you occupied. Drinking tea helps me too!
Does feeling scared of a weigh in support you in eating healthily or does the anxiety make it more likely that you'll eat poor quality, high calorie food?
Maybe it would work better to focus now on eating good food and forget the weigh in this week? It may not tell you anything useful anyway, but if you give it time for things to settle down, you may get a more accurate picture rather than having to deal with the emotional impact of a big spike when it sounds as though you are feeling quite fragile.
It does all seem to be part of something wider than just what you eat, and I hope you are getting professional support with that.
Think its just when i have personal issues it gets me down and i wanna eat junk but instantly regret doing so a day or 2 later. last few days to curb binge apart from water i have been using toothpaste on the tongue just a tiny bit to stop eating between meals. it has helped but then gone for chicken dippers etc for tea with veg.
If you're supposed to be on a low fat slimming world type diet, kick that up the bum, & spend the money on some healthy food. Start eating a clean food diet, ie, unprocessed ~ fresh fruit & vegetables, nuts & seeds. Try adding kefir to your diet. It's high in protein, vitamin K2, & has good probiotics.
Not following any diets like slimming world
