I am currently on a bit of a health/fitness kick (Happy New Years and all that π), but I'm wondering if I could be eating too much salad? π
For lunch most days, I eat cherry tomatoes, avocado, carrot &cucumber salad with a protein (meat)..... is there a lot of sugar/carbohydrates in these salad ingredients?

No ...i eat salad everyday for lunch too. Romaine, arugala, radishes, cucumber and lean grilled chicken or sirloin steak. Watch the dressing you use. I use fresh garlic, lemon juice and a small splash of olive oil. Sometimes red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar in place of lemon juice.
Sweet. Thanks for the reply! Yeah I just use a splash of balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
I'm training too, so eating a LOT! Just don't wanna be short changing myself and find out that salad is actually loaded with natural sugars or too much carbs
No, not at all but try to add some more greens. Maybe spinach leaves. You have two proteins in there with the avocado and chicken. Like anything even for salad, it's portions and depends on what you eat the rest of the day. Are you having dressing?
I too am interested in any answers to your questions because I do the same as you but also put it between 2 slices of weight watchers malted granary. I have been buying cooked slices of chicken and Turkey to have with the lettuce and Tom's. Just bought frozen avocado slices but haven't tried them yet.
Oh dear, Weight Watchers, a real marketing success with huge associated profits. Just take a look at some of their low fat, low sugar yoghourts; they contain Aspartame a really evil sugar replacement. You don't need their products, just make your own wholemeal bread it will be far better for you and cheaper too. Why are you buying cooked meats, it is better to buy a checken for your main meal and freeze slices of what is left over. At least you know the conditions in which it was cooked which you don't if you buy from the shop. Boil the remaining carcass to make stock as a soup base.
