Back problems often respond to gentle stretches and heat/cold - e.g.hot water bottle or alternatively a cold spray depending on whether you want to numb the pain (cold spray) or relax tight muscles (heat). Look at the positioning of work chairs - height and amount of support given....as demonstrated at spine-health.com/wellness/e.... A lot of back strain is work related; incorrect lifting techniques used.... so learn how to lift correctly. Drivers suffer back strain too - look at seating carefully for best support.

Natural remedies for stomach ailments depend on the ailment! Some people suffer too much acidity, anxiety related ailments. Some suffer from too much sugar, some react to too much fibre, others have to watch their fat intake. You can't generalise. You can google any symptoms and use reliable sites like the NHS sites to find what foods will help or what to avoid - Gout sufferers for instance can find how to control their symptoms by cutting down on foods high in purines see nhs.uk/Conditions/Gout/Page....

Websites directly related to "Natural Remedies" are often there to promote their own product so cannot always be relied on to be independent in their advice.

Other websites are charitable sites which are more general in their information such as anxietyuk.org.uk/our-servic... so you are best advised to read widely, and then make your own mind up; - don't believe everything you read, but take comfort that there is some useful information out there.

For curing back pain by yourself, have a look at the book "Healing Back Pain" by John Sarno MD. What is so interesting is that Dr Sarno was (retired) a Back Specialist and Professor at NY university. From his own observation and experience, he saw that some patients who undergone surgery were not free from back pain. Being a good doctor, he observed his patients and found that there seemed to be strong emotional link with their pain. He concluded that most (not all) of his patients who looked at their emotional cause solved or reduced their back pains.

Read the reviews on Amazon (amazon.co.uk/Healing-Back-P... and you will find people curing their pain just by reading the book. You will understand why this can happen once you have the read the book. Keep an open mind as it is easy to be cynical (I was).

Slippery Elm is a natural remedy for stomach problems with no side effects. It is a native American remedy.
