Kamut Flour

I was in the local supermarket and browsing through flours when I noticed Kamut flour. Has anyone tried using it especially in bread making? If so how was it and do you have any tips?

Kamut flour, colour of sand, yes it is lovely! use as spelt, you need more yeast about half as much again, for bread, dense texture too, tastes buttery in flavour too.

Nice as shortbread as well

I currently make wholemeal stoneground Spelt bread and I thought I would first try a mixed spelt/kamut bread before making just a Kamut loaf. Thanks for the tip about yeast.

If using a Panasonic bread maker, every loaf is fine on fast bake too, no need for rye setting
