Can you take honey and cinnamon when you are breast feeding
I would be cautious while breast feeding , consult your doctor for this answer
I keep bees and sell honey. We always advise that honey is not suitable for under one year olds. I would steer clear until baby is at least one year.
Ok thank you very much God you
Hi. Are we talking ordinary honey and cinnamon as part of a healthy balanced diet. If so then the short answer is yes you can eat them. The thing thats wrong with honey will not be transfered to baby in your breast milk.
Do not give honey to the baby before they are one.
Some drugs (even ones in natural remedies) and alcohol can be transfered to baby in breast milk. But otherwise anything goes really. Some say things like spices affect the taste of the milk but I fed my daughter until she was 4 (yes thats ok too) and she never said oh yuk I'm not eating that. Words that she's not afraid to say at dinner time.
Sometimes if the baby seems to be having problems feeding the doctor will recommend the mum changes her diet. I've only met one mum this happened to.
if you think a certain food is having an affect don't eat it for a few days then try it again and see what happens.
