Good tips, but do you have more information on choosing right carbohydrates and protein?
My guess is - protein choose, oily fish no more than 3 times a week, salmon, mackerel, sardines, tuna?? pulses, such as pinto beans, black beans, lentils maybe? Chicken and lean meats
Not quite sure of right carbohydrates, do you mean wholemeal or granary bread, brown rice and pasta? Sweet potato instead of standard potato?
I did read an article a while back stating (I think only related to USA produced rice)
" The Consumer Reports data indicate that brown rice, which retains the outer bran, can carry higher levels of arsenic. It also suggests that rice from Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri and Texas generally shows higher levels of total and inorganic arsenic than rice samples from India, Thailand and California. "

Its always worth checking where food stuffs are coming from (ie country of origin) but it is more difficult in keeping up with latest warnings and in less recent warnings if anything has been confirmed and done about such food items being prevented from entering the supermarkets etc.
