I struggle to wake in the morning despite several different alarms. Live alone so when I sleep it's deep & can lose mornings. Does anyone have a loud alarm clock/gadget they could recommend please?

Trouble waking up, alarm clocks?

many years ago I used to have one of those old fashioned alarm clocks with the two bells and a hammer.... put it in a large saucepan with marbles in Over the other side of the room so I had to get up to turn it off.Otherwise I wonder if a fade up light clock might be helpful.
Right there with you! For about the first two weeks of going back to work I had to get someone to call me every morning... It's definitely still an issue, especially since I can never get enough sleep during the week. On days when I really think I'm going to sleep through my alarm (normally by resetting it groggily when I wake up, but doing it wrong) I have an old radio clock with an alarm on it that I can't reach from bed. Of course it hasn't actually got me out of bed yet today...
I’m definitely with you, Nemo. Some great suggestions already. Do you have iPhone? I I’m guessing you might have tried all the different phone alarms already? I use the ‘alarm’ setting under the ‘classic’ section which is a very annoying waaah waaah sound, I have it turned up very loud, to the loudest setting and at the other side of the room so that I have to get up to turn it off. You could mash that solution up with Moo’s solution and put it in a saucepan with marbles?
Good luck.

hello Nemo,
You can get a vibrating alarm you place under your pillow, this used by deaf people as an aid, it could be useful. I’m suggesting that you sleep so deeply because your brain in need of longer sleep, try an afternoon rest, and maybe you will wake up naturally. Best of luck Jo
Thank you, hadn't thought about it as brain needed more rest. Definitely stressed at moment so afternoon nap will be good to add. Haven't heard of vibrating alarm either. 😎
Yes I was going to say that too, try brain breaks too or instead of a nap, no noise, no distractions like phone or music or reading, almost like meditating in a quiet space. Doesn’t have to be for long, 10-20 mins, to allow your brain to just stop having to work so hard for a bit,
